     Mud Pond is a wet place that gets lots of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is August; February meanwhile is the driest month. Bunker Brook is a fine local stream; there's splendid hiking along the Kettle Pond Trail. Now, you may assume that's heaps but there's even more entertaining things to do here in the Green Mountains. The Owls Head Trail offers hiking at its best; camping is available at Idle Hours Campground.
Mud Pond is one of the
 
   lakes here in the Green Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is great on Winooski River, and if you need a spot to stay The Inn at Montpelier is a pleasant choice. And that's not all you can do here at Mud Pond. A golf course in close proximity to Mud Pond is Woodbury Golf Course; Mud Pond is not the only place nearby, Shadow Pond is a nearby lake.
At Mackville Dam near Mud Pond there are some exciting things to see; dry warm beds await
 
               you at Days Inn Barre Montpelier. Whohoo, so much cool stuff in one place! The Green Mountains is peerless! In the event that you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Lamoille River - Wild Branch; hiking is a popular thing to do around Mud Pond; Osmore Pond Hiking Loop is a nice local trail. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Mud Pond. During the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and overnight lows in the 0's for Mud Pond.
That right there is a heap already, but it continues; Mud Pond has it all. A lake close by is Buck Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Swamps like Martell Swamp are fun to stop at; if you came for an overnight stay Spooners Trailer Park and Campground is a wonderful place to camp. You're sure to bump into some wonderful people from Barre here; the summit of Round Knoll can be observed from Mud Pond.

Hmm? Jay Peak seems like it has two peaks, shouldn't it be called Jay Peaks? But other than the confusing name I have no complaints. Lots of good runs....
