Time spent at Boulder Beach close to Mud Pond is always magnificent; a fine nearby hotel is Vermonter Motel. So many entertaining things in the Green Mountains, just extraordinary. Winooski River is a perfect whitewater spot close to Mud Pond, and lots of people from Barre come here. Some of the water nearby flows, like Lanes Brook. This lake is one of the great places here in the Green Mountains. From a precipitation       point of view Mud Pond is a quite typical spot; most of the rain falls through August while February is regularly the driest month. This place rocks, just check out all the exciting stuff to do near Mud Pond. If the weather is gorgeous, you get a good sight of Debby Hill from Mud Pond, and Mud Pond is not the only place close by, Kettle Pond is a close by lake. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at New Discovery Campground, and the Kettle Pond Trail offers                  hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. Mud Pond is right by the Silver Ledge Trail, and a pleasant trip to Cream Pot Meadow is a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. During the months of summer at Mud Pond highs are commonly in the 70's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are ordinarily in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the 0's for Mud Pond. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting stuff in the Green Mountains. If you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Joe's Brook River, and Twin City Motel is a wonderful place to get some rest.
