    In Vermont there are many beautiful lakes, Mud Pond is one of them. So much enjoyable stuff to do at Mud Pond, so little time. Why not camp at Bomoseen State Park Campground while you're here at Mud Pond, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Mud Pond; Daniel Coffey Memorial Trial is a nice local trail. Looking for some flowing water? Try Big Brook, and pleasant hiking is available along the Glen Lake Trail. So many entertaining things to do here in the Adirondack  
   Mountains, too pleasant to be true. If you need a place to stay Hillside Motel is a nice choice; don't leave Mud Pond without first checking out Blue Ledge.
This lake is so wonderful. Strong Swamp is an exciting swamp next to Mud Pond, and there's brilliant hiking along the Half Moon Pond Trail. Benson Bay is near Mud Pond and is a brilliant place to explore; a perfect location for whitewater paddling is Poultney River. This lake is located in the wonderful
 
               Adirondack Mountains.
Summer at Mud Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Mud Pond plunge into the 0's. You can see Doughty Hill from Mud Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Stone House Motel & Motor, and you'll perhaps meet some people from Rutland here.
The amount of rainfall that falls at Mud Pond is close to the national average; August is the wettest month with most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. All year is a nice time in the Adirondack Mountains if you fancy the outdoors. Camping at Mud Pond is great fun, Half Moon State Park Campground is a great local campground; a lake close by is Bullhead Pond.
