An average amount of precipitation falls at Mud Pond; during the month of August you get the most rain around here, and February on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. What would winter be without some skiing at Burke Mountain, and if the weather is pleasant, you can go for a hike along the Mount Pisgah Trail. This lake is so wonderful. An attention-grabbing thing to check out close to Mud Pond is Pensioner Pond Dam, and dry warm beds

along the Mount Pisgah East Trail. Through the summer months here at Mud Pond, high temperatures mostly reach the 70's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are mostly in the 20's, and overnight lows throughout the winter for Mud Pond tend to be in the 0's.

It is a lake that talks to you, as far as my opinion goes. I lived in Newport,Newport Center (Bear Mountain) and Noth Troy when I was bewtween the ages of 9-13. I am now 42!
I just recently went back to Newport and that beautiful lake that talked to me, and i think it helped me figure out a part of my life that has been a little bit difficult to understand and move ahead.
