This lake is so wonderful. What would winter be without some skiing at Burke Mountain, and if the weather is pleasant, you can go for a hike along the Mount Pisgah Trail. This lake is so wonderful. An attention-grabbing thing to check out close to Mud Pond is Pensioner Pond Dam, and dry warm beds       await you at Super 8 Motel - Derby/Newport Area. There are other locations here than Mud Pond, for example Charleston Pond, and time spent at Balm of Gilead Beach is always wonderful. This lake is located in the wonderful Green Mountains. You feel that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. Mud Pond is a perfect place to visit for more than one day, Chargo Campground is a perfect place to camp nearby; there's whitewater on Barton River for all you adrenaline                  kick people. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Lyndon Outing Club while you're here. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Clyde River; at Mud Pond you can make out Cargill Hill. All year is a wonderful time in the Green Mountains if you like the outdoors. Lakes are such calm places, why not check out Mud Pond right next door to Mud Pond; you can have a splendid hiking adventure along the Pisgah Trail. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool stuff in the Green Mountains. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Mud Pond has to offer, you can camp at Char- BO Campground, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Mount Pisgah East Trail. Through the summer months here at Mud Pond, high temperatures mostly reach the 70's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's.
