     Vermont has many beautiful lakes and Mud Pond is one of them. Mud Pond is one of the lakes here in the Green Mountains. Hiking along the Pisgah Trail is delightful fun, and if you come at the right time of year, Barton River offers some splendid whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. Echo Lake is a nearby lake that you could go to, and you can stay the night at Chargo Campground.

   Mud Pond has to offer, you can camp at Char- BO Campground; you can always enjoy a lazy day on the beach at Balm of Gilead Beach. Yeah, come up here to the Green Mountains for a splendid time. While you're here at Mud Pond, you could also go to picturesque Mud Pond, and do take a hike on the Mount Pisgah East Trail. Be careful coming to the Green Mountains, you might not ever want to return back home again. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Clyde River, and if  
               you need a spot to stay Super 8 Motel - Derby/Newport Area is a fine choice.
Elan Hill is lovely and can be observed from Mud Pond, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Burke Mountain while you're here. Mud Pond is a good site of typical precipitation; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. Holiday Motel and Annex is a splendid site to get some rest.
You truly must like Mud Pond. Have a glorious hiking adventure along the Mount Pisgah Trail, and you can never get enough of the wonderful skiing at Lyndon Outing Club. High temperatures at Mud Pond through the warmest time of the year are in the 70's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's with temperatures at Mud Pond dipping down into the 0's during winter nights.
