A lake nearby is Duck Pond; on a great day you can take a hike along the Kettle       Pond Trail. You are right next door to Tromp Point since you're here at Mud Pond, and Barton River is a perfect whitewater spot close by. These mountains rock, just explore all the cool things to do in the Green Mountains. From Mud Pond you obtain a splendid vista of West Hill, and the Osmore Pond Hiking Loop is a glorious hiking trail close by. You clearly must like the Green Mountains.
