If you like lakes and you're in this part of Vermont you can check out Mud Pond. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Clyde River offers some good whitewater. The yearly precipitation here at Mud Pond is about average; most of the rain falls through August while February is regularly the driest month. Take a hike on the Herbert Hawkes Hiking Trail, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Barton River.

| | who don’t like to have fun. Baker Pond is a good lake in the neighborhood of Mud Pond, and hiking along the Mount Pisgah Trail is glorious fun. A day on the slopes of Lyndon Outing Club is just what you need, and the top of Allen Hill is easily distinguished from Mud Pond. For the duration of the days of summer at Mud Pond temperatures are ordinarily in the 70's while overnight lows are regularly in the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 20's, | |

and overnight lows at Mud Pond through the wintertime commonly dip into the 0's.

if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Orleans Country Club is in close proximity. This lake is one of the great places here in the Green Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Belview Campground; going
for a hike along the South Shore Hiking Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region.
You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining stuff in the Green Mountains. There's so much to do
here at Mud Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Will-o-wood Campground is a good site for that, and if you need a site to stay Pinecrest Motor Court is a great choice.
