The beauty of Mud Pond is reason enough to stop by. So many amusing things to do here in the Green Mountains, too splendid to be true. Soar down the rapids of Clyde River in a kayak; while you're here you can play some golf at Orleans Country Club. Paddling on Barton River is so much fun, and unsurprisingly, this is a nice region for folks who like lakes, Baker Pond is a lake close at hand. | | in the 70's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 20's, and nighttime lows throughout the winter for Mud Pond tend to be in the 0's.
Man, is there a heap of enjoyable stuff to do in the Green Mountains. There are splendid sites to discover along the Mount Pisgah Trail, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to close by Lake Parker. This lake is so wonderful. Hit the slopes at | |

Lyndon Outing Club in the neighborhood. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place. Camping at Tree Corners Family Campground is always a splendid experience; from Mud Pond you obtain a splendid sight of Allen Hill.
Mud
Pond is one of the lakes here in the Green Mountains. Camping is available at Belview Campground, and don't leave Mud Pond without first going for a hike along the South Shore Hiking Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds
await you at Super 8 Motel - Derby/Newport Area, and going for a hike on the Herbert Hawkes Hiking Trail is always a perfect adventure.
Mud Pond gets a common amount of precipitation; most of the rain falls through August, and February is when it's the driest.
