Mud Pond is always a pleasure to visit. Mud Pond is one of the lakes here in the Green Mountains. The amount of rainfall that falls at Mud Pond is close to the national average; the month with most of the rain is August; February is when it's the driest. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors enjoyable things the area near Mud Pond has to offer. Hit the slopes at Twin Farms in the vicinity; Mud Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Lake

This lake is so wonderful. In the event that you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on White River - First Branch, and the peak of Ferry Hill can be seen from Mud Pond. For the period of the months of summer here at Mud Pond, high temperatures mostly reach the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. get some rest. Sugarbush is a very popular ski area close by. There's so much to do here at Mud Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Abel Mountain Campground is a fine place for that. If you need a place to stay Green Trails
Inn is a glorious choice; the smiling folks of Barre like to hang out close by.
This lake is so wonderful. There is a perfect hiking trail near Mud Pond called the Clark Brook Trail, and the Bear Hill Trail is a great hiking trail close by.
