This lake is

so wonderful. If you're a golfer then a splendid close by course is Montague Golf Club; dry warm beds await you at Sugarbush Condos. If only every place had this much outdoors entertaining things, what a great world it would be. If you came for an overnight stay Lake Champagne Campground is a magnificent place to camp, and there's great hiking along the Clark Brook Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Twin Farms is a very popular ski area nearby, and glide down
the rapids of White River - First Branch in a kayak.
Here at Mud Pond you'll probably meet some folks from Barre; if you need a place to stay Comfort Inn At Maplewood is a good choice. Mud Pond gets a common amount of annual rainfall; throughout the month of August you get the most rain around here; the driest month is February. Don't leave Mud Pond without first going for a hike along the Bear Hill Trail, naturally you could also take a look at Beaver Pond if you're here; it's not far at all.
And if that's not sufficient, there's heaps more to do close to Mud Pond. All through the warmest time of the year, highs ordinarily are in the 70's at Mud Pond. Summer nighttime lows fall down to the 50's. Daytime highs all through the wintertime are in the 20's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Mud Pond descend into the 0's. So many amusing things in the Green Mountains, just phenomenal. Why not camp at Abel Mountain Campground if you're here at Mud Pond, and get wet paddling on White River.
