Do stop by Mud Pond while you're in this part of Vermont. The Green Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Mud Pond is right by the Bayley Hazen Military Road Trail, and needless to say, this is a delightful region for folks who like lakes, Lake Eden is a lake in the vicinity. Mud Pond is a wet place that gets much rain; during the month of August you get the most rain around here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake

| | is so wonderful. Devils Gap is a good location to take a look at close by, and skiing at Jay Peak is one of those things you just must do. You absolutely should like Mud Pond. You'll meet a lot of people from Barre here, and dry warm beds await you at Plaza Hotel. Throughout the long summer days highs here at Mud Pond get into the 80's, and the night is a tad colder of course, usually in the 50's. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 20's | |

while the cold winter nights at Mud Pond are in the 0's. You imagine that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Gihon River, and if the weather is beautiful, you acquire
a great sight of The Knob from Mud Pond. If you came for an overnight stay Mountain View Campground is a nice spot to camp, and let's not forget Boomhour Branch which is a stream that you may encounter during your stay. Very perfect
water scenery is available at South Pond Dam right next door to Mud Pond, and you can never get enough of the perfect skiing at Stowe. Just can't get enough of the Green Mountains. Don’t forget to pop by Beaver Meadow if you're here
at Mud Pond, and why not camp at Lakeview Camping Area if you're here at Mud Pond. And if that's not enough there's a lot more exciting stuff to do in the Green Mountains. Soar down the rapids of Lamoille River - Wild Branch in a kayak, and Sunset Motor Inn is a great spot to get some rest.
