What a nice lake Mud Pond is. This lake is one of the great places here in the Green Mountains. Mud Pond is right by the Red Pine Trail. Lakes are pleasant; Nulhegan Pond is a lake that's next to Mud Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Get wet paddling on Clyde River, and naturally Clay Hill Brook flows through this area. | | get some rest; naturally, this is a great region for folks who like lakes, McConnell Pond is a lake in the vicinity. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Lakeside Camping Area is always a great experience, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Mud Pond; Main Trail is a great local trail. Throughout the days of summer at Mud Pond highs are regularly in the 70's. During the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 50's. Through the winter highs are typically | |

in the 20's while Mud Pond nighttime low temperatures all through the wintertime are in the 0's. Whitewater paddling is perfect on Nulhegan River, and the skiing at Lyndon Outing Club is pleasant. That right there is a heap of
cool stuff already but it goes on, the Green Mountains has it all. Camping is available at Burke Mountain Campgrounds, and if you're visiting from Berlin, you won't be the only one. Mud Pond is a good spot of common rainfall; August
is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is February. This place is great, just look at all the fun stuff to do right next door to Mud Pond. The Loggers Loop Trail offers hiking at its best, and a day on the slopes of Burke Mountain is just what you need.
