This lake is so wonderful. It's a splendid idea to take a look at Applelon Brook, it's right next door to Mud Pond, and a magnificent spot for whitewater paddling is Moose River. All the outdoors fun stuff in the Green Mountains will keep you coming back time and again. Mud Pond is a nice location to visit for more than one day, Lakeside Camping Area is a nice location to camp nearby, and get your pulse rate       up on the delightful whitewater of Nulhegan River. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Green Mountains. Mitchell Mountain is charming and can be seen from Mud Pond, and you can hit the slopes at Burke Mountain around here. But wait, there's more to do near Mud Pond. There are plenty of people from Berlin here at Mud Pond; Buzzell Gap is also a great place to look at. There is a tremendous hiking trail near Mud Pond called the Loon Trail, and a lake                  close by is Cow Mountain Pond. Just can't get enough of Mud Pond. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Lyndon Outing Club. From a rainfall point of view Mud Pond is a pretty typical spot; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain; February is when it's the driest. The Green Mountains scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the night at Lancaster Kwik Stop and Truck Stop, and a glorious close by hotel is Coos Motor Inn. Going for a hike on the Shore Trail is always a glorious adventure, and Lancaster Motor Inn is a good place to get some rest. For the duration of the summertime here at Mud Pond, high temperatures generally reach the 70's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 20's; night lows in the-10's for Mud Pond.
