Vermont has many beautiful lakes and Mud Pond is one of them. So much entertaining stuff to do in the Green Mountains, not enough time. There are swamps here too; Peacham Bog is nearby, and in the event that you don't mind getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Joe's Brook River. | | driest month is February. And if that's not enough, there's plenty more to do in the vicinity of Mud Pond. If only every place had this much outdoors amusing stuff, what a great globe it would be. A pleasant forest close to Mud Pond is Peacham Fire District Forest, and Mud Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Ricker Campground is a great local campground. lows descend down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Mud Pond temperatures dip to the 0's. Hamilton House Bed & Breakfast is a splendid site to get some rest,
and do take a hike on the Groton State Forest Nature Trail. There's no way someone can get bored here in the Green Mountains. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Coldwater Brook Trail, also Martins Pond Dam is worth visiting
while you're here. Lyndon Outing Club has perfect slopes and a friendly staff, and a splendid beach close by is Boulder Beach. This lake is so wonderful. A delightful close by hotel is Injun Joe Court; if you get bored of Mud
Pond you could also go to nearby Fosters Pond. A magnificent view of pretty Devils Hill is available from Mud Pond, and whitewater paddling is glorious on Wells River. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around
Mud Pond; Peacham Bog Trail is a glorious local trail, and a pleasant location to camp here at Mud Pond is Big Deer Campground.
