The beauty of Mud Pond attracts many people from all around. So much amusing stuff to do here in the Green Mountains, too great to be true. Everybody close by loves skiing at Lyndon Outing Club; Mud Pond is not the only site nearby, Vail Pond is a nearby lake. Hiking along the South Shore Hiking Trail is brilliant fun; Will-o-wood Campground is a wonderful local campground. Man, is there a load of entertaining stuff to do in the Green Mountains. | | you can see Big Rock Hill, and do take a hike on the Herbert Hawkes Hiking Trail. During the long summer days, highs mostly are in the 70's at Mud Pond. Summer nighttime lows plunge down to the 50's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Mud Pond. you're here at Mud Pond, and Holiday Motel and Annex is a great spot to get some rest. And that's not all you can do here at Mud Pond. Going for a hike along the Mount Pisgah Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood,
and get your pulse rate up on the great whitewater of Clyde River. This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Barton River for all you adrenaline kick people, and the slopes of Burke Mountain are so inviting noone can resist.
A lake close by is Crystal Lake, and if you need a place to stay Super 8 Motel - Derby/Newport Area is a great choice. Mud Pond is a good location of typical rain; August is when you get the most rain here, and February is the month with the least moisture.
