If you are in Caledonia county it's always a good idea to stop by Mud Pond. You can run the rapids of Barton River in close proximity to Mud Pond, and the view of Big Rock Hill is pretty. This place, the Green Mountains, has so much outdoors fun stuff. If you need a site to stay Green Acres Cabins & Shop is a magnificent choice, and don't leave Mud Pond without first going for a hike along the South Shore Hiking Trail. If you love the outdoors you'll love it

| | here in the Green Mountains. Clyde River is a tremendous whitewater spot near Mud Pond, and you can stay the night at Belview Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Really fine skiing awaits you at Burke Mountain. From a rain point of view Mud Pond is a relatively normal place; through August this area sees the most rain; February on the other hand is the driest. Pinecrest Motor Court, and there are good places to discover along the Herbert Hawkes Hiking Trail. This lake is so wonderful. There's pleasant hiking along the Mount Pisgah Trail, and Duck Pond is a nearby lake that you could
check out. There's so much to do here at Mud Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Will-o-wood Campground is a great spot for that, and skiing at Lyndon Outing Club is one of those things you just should do. Mud Pond is a beautiful
lake in the Green Mountains. At Mud Pond throughout the warm months highs are in the 70's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Highs during the winter are regularly in the 20's with temperatures at Mud Pond dipping down into the 0's through winter nights.
