Mud Pond is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Haystack is a good local ski area; dry warm beds await you at Lakeview Motel. For the duration of the long summer days highs here at Mud Pond reach the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. High temperatures throughout the wintertime are normally in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Mud Pond are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight

| | stay Clarksburg State Park is a nice site to camp; if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Molly Stark Trail.
Reservoir Brook is a pleasant place to pop by, and there are plenty of people from Bennington here. Everybody close by loves skiing at Mount Snow, and if you need a site to stay Peter Pan Motel is a pleasant choice. Now, you may imagine that's lots but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here at Mud Pond. Soar down the rapids of Deerfield River - West Branch in a kayak. Do have
a look at Stamford Pond in the neighborhood of Mud Pond, it's a charming lake, and you can have a great hiking adventure along the Kelly Camp Trail. I can't stop, cause I'm havin' a great time here at Mud Pond. You get a wonderful
vista of Stamford and Woodford Plateau from Mud Pond, and since you're here and you like golf, you can go to Stamford Valley Golf Course.
Why not camp at Red Mill Brook Campground while you're here at Mud Pond, and get yourself
into a kayak and hit Dunbar Brook. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Mud Pond you can take a hike along the Old Stage Trail; if you like swamps you're in luck, Camp Meadows is right nearby.
