    Moses Pond is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Moses Pond sees pretty high levels of rainfall; August is when you get the most rain here, and the driest of the months is February. Just can't get enough of the Green Mountains. Dry warm beds await you at Winterplace on Okemo Mountain, and Moses Pond is right by the Utley Brook Trail. And that's not all the things to do here in the Green Mountains. The skiing at Okemo is magnificent; Moses Pond  
   is not the only location nearby, Star Lake is a nearby lake.
This lake is so wonderful. The Little Michigan Trail offers hiking at its best. There's so much to do here at Moses Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Horseshoe Acres Camp Grounds is a perfect location for that. A lake close by is Peabody Pond, and at Moses Pond you always meet someone from Rutland. This lake is so wonderful. The summit of Holt Mountain can be observed from Moses Pond, and
 
               if you need a spot to stay Jackson Gore Inn on Okemo Mountain is a tremendous choice.
This lake is one of the great places here in the Green Mountains. Get your pulse rate up on the magnificent whitewater of Big Branch. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting things near Moses Pond. A day on the slopes of Magic Mountain is just what you need; hiking along the Jones Brook Trail is delightful fun.
Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend West River; Moses Pond is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Night Eagle Wilderness is a brilliant local campground. All through the warmest time of the year at Moses Pond temperatures are typically in the 80's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. Through the winter highs are commonly in the 30's, and night lows at Moses Pond all through the winter commonly sink into the 10's.

Easy going trail from Mt Tabor to Rocky Pond, a 4 mile round trip, 1 1/2 to 2 hour hike. The hike is well worth seeing this breath taking pond. Very secluded & peaceful with tent sites and one or two shelters. Over night stays are 5.00 per person, per night. If you love 'roughing it' camping, this is a great place to go. I am enclosing a picture i took on June 19th 2007....
