    Beautiful Moscow Pond has much to offer visitors. This lake is so wonderful. Prospect Bay Country Club is a nice golf course nearby, and there are plenty of folks from Rutland here. Said Pond is a nearby lake that you could stop by, and there's great hiking along the Bomoseen Hiking Loop. This lake is so wonderful. O'Brien Point is pretty near Moscow Pond. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Moscow Pond has to offer, you can camp at Half Moon State  
   Park Campground.
You feel that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Summertime at Moscow Pond comes with high temperatures in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and night lows in the 0's for Moscow Pond. If you get bored of Moscow Pond, you could also visit close by Glen Lake, and after a long day outdoors Ticonderoga - Super 8 Motel is a perfect spot to spend a night
 
               or two.
A common amount of precipitation falls here at Moscow Pond; through August this area sees the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. You completely ought to love Moscow Pond. Don't leave Moscow Pond without first going for a hike along the Half Moon Pond Trail, and the peak of Coons Den can be seen from Moscow Pond. Said Dam is an attention-grabbing thing to check out; Moscow Pond is a splendid location to visit for more than one day, Bomoseen State Park Campground is a splendid location to camp nearby.
If you come at the right time of year, Poultney River offers some fine whitewater, and check out nearby Beaver Meadow. There are great locations to explore along the Glen Lake Trail; Best Western Ticonderoga Inn & Suites is a nice spot to get some rest.

If only every location had this much outdoor entertaining stuff, what a great planet it would be. A tremendous place like Half Moon Pond State Park is near Country Village Campground and is too wonderful to leave out, and going for a hike on the Falls of Lana Trail is always a perfect adventure. All through the warm days of summer at Country Village Campground highs are mostly in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's with winter lows in the 0's. When the weather is good here at Country Village Campground, you can go for a hike along the Chandler Ridge Trail, and the friendly people of Brandon like to hang out nearby. The Duval Trail is a delightful hiking trail next to Country Village Campground, and a day on Pico Mountain is just what you need.

Easy going trail from Mt Tabor to Rocky Pond, a 4 mile round trip, 1 1/2 to 2 hour hike. The hike is well worth seeing this breath taking pond. Very secluded & peaceful with tent sites and one or two shelters. Over night stays are 5.00 per person, per night. If you love 'roughing it' camping, this is a great place to go. I am enclosing a picture i took on June 19th 2007....

White Rocks,great trail 0.8 miles up. Trails interstect with AT, check map before you go up. Two water falls on the left. First one could be risky to see always a wet gorge. Second is off the AT a short way. At the top is a rock art garden where a sign for White Rocks cliff trail 0.2 to overlook, great view west north and south. The peak was quite higher at one time in the past. Looking down over the cliff edge are three seperate rock falls which is the old peak....
