If you like lakes and you're in this part of Vermont you can check out Moscow Pond. This lake is so wonderful. A visit to nearby O'Brien Point is very relaxing, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Rutland here. Going for a hike along the Glen Lake Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and if you came for an overnight stay Half Moon State Park Campground is a brilliant location to camp. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 20's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Moscow Pond descend into the 0's. is available at Bomoseen State Park Campground. Prospect Bay Country Club is a golf course next to Moscow Pond, and Poultney River is a delightful whitewater spot close by. Edgewater Motel is a tremendous place to get some rest;
since you're here you can take a hike along the Half Moon Pond Trail. Why not check out a swamp like Beaver Meadow if you're here at Moscow Pond. There's just no way somebody can get bored here at Moscow Pond. The summit of Coons
Den can be seen from Moscow Pond, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Bomoseen Hiking Loop. Moscow Pond gets a common amount of yearly rain; the month with most of the rain is August, and February is when it's the driest.
