Get wet paddling on Waits River, and The Pastures Campground is a perfect local campground. This lake is so wonderful. At Lake Morey you can see Echo Mountain; the friendly folks of Lebanon like to hang out close by. This lake is so wonderful. Jacobs Brook is a delightful local stream, and there are swamps here too, Reeds Marsh is close by. Head up to Whaleback and strap some       skis to your feet; a charming lake like Bog Pond is a wonderful place to pop by. Lake Morey is a good spot of normal rain; through the month of August you get the most rain around here, and February is when it's the driest. All through the months of summer here at Lake Morey, high temperatures generally reach the 70's. Summer nighttime lows fall down to the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 20's, and after the sun is down all through the wintertime                  temperatures at Lake Morey drop into the 0's. Float down the rapids of Ompompanoosuc River in a kayak, and some exciting geology is available here, The Palisades is right here.
