Moores Ponds is a nice lake to visit. Why not camp at Sugarhouse Campground if you're here at Moores Ponds; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to close by Amherst Lake. So many fun things to do in the Green Mountains, not sufficient time. Take a little visit to Great Roaring Brook since you're here at Moores Ponds; dry warm beds await you at The Pointe at Castle Hill Resort. This lake is so wonderful. | | Ponds there are some out of the ordinary things to see, and there is a pleasant hiking trail nearby called the Barnard Trail. And if you're still looking for more outdoors enjoyable stuff just keep reading. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Black River. is a lake that's right next door to Moores Ponds. And if that's not enough, there's lots more to do next to Moores Ponds. You get a great vista of Blueberry Hill from Moores Ponds; camping is available at Coolidge State Park.
There are some wonderful whitewater spots on Mill River, and going for a hike on the Bucklin Trail is always a fine adventure. Moores Ponds is one of the lakes here in the Green Mountains. Plymouth Notch is right next door to Moores
Ponds and is positively a glorious spot to visit, and on a tremendous day you can take a hike along the Juggernaut Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Killington has great slopes and a friendly staff, and Jackson Gore Inn on Okemo
Mountain is a good place to get some rest. All the water falling down from the sky makes Moores Ponds a wet spot; the month with most of the rain is August while February is usually the driest month. All through the warm months here
at Moores Ponds, high temperatures typically reach the 80's. Summer night lows sink down to the 50's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 30's with temperatures at Moores Ponds dipping down into the 10's all through winter nights.
