If you are in this part of Vermont make sure to pay a visit to Minards Pond. Near Minards Pond you discover the Futures Trail which is a nice hiking trail, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Saxton's River. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors cool stuff the area in the vicinity of Minards Pond has to offer. There are some fine whitewater spots on Cold River, and playing golf is lots of fun at Hooper Golf Club. Throughout the summertime at Minards Pond temperatures are mostly in the 80's. night lows in the 0's for Minards Pond. This lake is so wonderful. You don’t have to go far from Minards Pond to see the water at Bellows Falls Dam, and Minards Pond is not the only site close by, Connecticut River Reservoir is a
close by lake.
Gotta ski! Living Memorial Park is a good place to do that. Rockingham Motor Inn is a wonderful location to get some rest, and camping at Minards Pond is great fun, The Farm Campground is a great local campground.
The slopes of Ascutney are so inviting nobody can resist; if you need a spot to stay Hetty Green Motel is a nice choice.
This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Slot Trail is always a great adventure, and let's not
forget Bundy Brook which is a stream that you may stumble upon while here. Minards Pond is a wet site that gets a lot of precipitation; throughout the month of August you get the most rain around here, and February on the other hand
is the driest. Minards Pond beyond doubt is in the middle of a charming outdoors paradise. From Minards Pond you get a good panorama of Colley Hill, and Minards Pond is not far at all from Keene.
