All through the summer months at Milton Pond highs are frequently in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 20's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Milton Pond sink into the 0's. Inn At Essex is a splendid spot to get some rest, and if the weather is fine, you can go for a hike       along the Island Farm Nature Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Wilson Inn, and a round of golf at nearby Essex Country Club is a nice way to kill some time. The amount of precipitation that falls at Milton Pond is close to the national average; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. A lake nearby is Westford Pond, and get soaked paddling on Browns                  River. There is a perfect hiking trail in the vicinity of Milton Pond called the North Shore Trail, and float down the rapids of Mill Brook in a kayak. Pond Brook flows through this neighborhood, and if you came for an overnight stay Homestead Campgrounds is a good site to camp. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing stuff in the vicinity of Milton Pond. Lots of folks from Burlington-South Burlington come to Milton Pond; on a wonderful day you can take a hike along the Southern Tip Trail. Why not camp at Maple Grove Campground since you're here at Milton Pond; everyone nearby loves skiing at Bolton Valley. This lake is so wonderful.
