And that's not all you can do here at Mill Pond. Why not camp at Bomoseen State Park Campground if you're here at Mill Pond, and the Glen Lake Trail is a great hiking trail nearby. Pond is a tremendous lake close by. Bush Pond Dam is not far at all from Mill Pond; nearby you locate the Half Moon Pond Trail which is a great hiking trail. A good nearby hotel is Super 8 Motel Ticonderoga; swamps are attention-grabbing
places and Walker Swamp in the vicinity of Mill Pond is no exception. This lake is so wonderful. Half Moon State Park Campground is a magnificent local campground, and Cobble Knoll is simple to spot from Mill Pond. The yearly rainfall
here at Mill Pond is about average; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture.

Outdoor recreation is bountiful, some of the enjoyable stuff you can do is swimming, playing golf at Neshobe Golf Club, whitewater paddling, hiking, and fishing, so you won’t run out of things to do.
The folks who look after the campground and all the nice pastime activities will make you feel at home. Quite a lot of cool stuff to do next to Country Village Campground, and it's one of those places where everything is close.
If only every location had this much outdoor entertaining stuff, what a great planet it would be. A tremendous place like Half Moon Pond State Park is near Country Village Campground and is too wonderful to leave out, and going for a hike on the Falls of Lana Trail is always a perfect adventure. All through the warm days of summer at Country Village Campground highs are mostly in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's.  | 18 miles away White Rocks,great trail 0.8 miles up. Trails interstect with AT, check map before you go up. Two water falls on the left. First one could be risky to see always a wet gorge. Second is off the AT a short way. At the top is a rock art garden where a sign for White Rocks cliff trail 0.2 to overlook, great view west north and south. The peak was quite higher at one time in the past. Looking down over the cliff edge are three seperate rock falls which is the old peak.... |

 | 19 miles away 4 PHOTOS Easy going trail from Mt Tabor to Rocky Pond, a 4 mile round trip, 1 1/2 to 2 hour hike. The hike is well worth seeing this breath taking pond. Very secluded & peaceful with tent sites and one or two shelters. Over night stays are 5.00 per person, per night. If you love 'roughing it' camping, this is a great place to go.
