    If you like lakes and you're in this part of Vermont you can check out Mill Pond. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Mill Pond. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime highs are mostly in the 30's; overnight lows at Mill Pond through the winter usually plunge into the 0's. Stay the night at Holysmoke Camps, and people from Bennington love to come here. Castle Meadow is a swamp close to Mill Pond, and after a long day  
   outdoors Lakeview Motel is a pleasant spot to spend a night or two.
This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Mill Pond without first going for a hike along the Molly Stark Trail. Lakes? Sure, Adams Reservoir is nearby. Don't forget to take a great little spree to Little Pond Brook, and in case you don’t mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Deerfield River. Deerfield River - East Branch is a great whitewater spot near Mill Pond, and dry
 
               warm beds await you at Peter Pan Motel.
Why not visit Adams Reservoir Dam since you're here, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Mill Pond; Atwood Trail is a nice local trail. Man, is there heaps of cool things to do near Mill Pond. The slopes of Mount Snow are so inviting noone can resist, and there's delightful hiking along the Kelly Camp Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Mill Pond is a splendid place to camp, Red Mill Brook Campground is a splendid place, and Haystack is a brilliant local ski area.
If only every site had this much outdoors cool things, what a great world it would be. Mill Pond sees pretty high levels of rainfall; during the month of August you get the most rain around here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
