You can run the rapids of Ammonoosuc River right next door to Miles Pond; a day on the slopes of Burke Mountain is just what you need. There's whitewater on Moose River for all you adrenaline junkies; Miles Mountain is easy to spot from Miles Pond. So many cool things to do in the Green Mountains, not enough time. Cutting Brook is a charming stream that is worth taking a       look at; if you came for an overnight stay Breezy Meadows Campground is a brilliant site to camp. There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Green Mountains. The skiing at Lyndon Outing Club is good; there is a perfect hiking trail close by called the Bear Den Trail. Throughout the long summer days at Miles Pond temperatures are frequently in the 70's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. For the period of the                  winter highs are in the 20's, and nighttime lows in the-10's for Miles Pond. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this location. While you're here at Miles Pond you will meet lots of folks from close by Berlin; there are great sites to explore along the Shore Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Continental 93 Travelers Inn is a tremendous choice; Rustic Haven Campground is a pleasant campground here. Miles Pond Dam is striking and it's in close proximity to Miles Pond, and going for a hike on the Loon Trail is always a good adventure. Miles Pond is located in the Green Mountains.
