Pond is a lake nearby, and the trees of Middleblury Municipal Forest are a splendid source of shade on hot summer days. Drift down the rapids of New Haven River in a kayak. Middlebury Water Supply gets a common amount of precipitation;
most of the rain falls through August; the driest of the months is February. That right there is lots of cool stuff already but it goes on, the Green Mountains has it all. Get dripping wet paddling on New Haven River, and camping
at Rivers Bend Campground is always a good experience. This lake is so wonderful. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Mad River Glen; Middlebury Water Supply is good enough to spend more than a day at, Green Mt. Family Campground is a good local campground.
