Camping at Lake Memphremagog is great fun, Char- BO Campground is a great local campground. Derby Bay is in the neighborhood and always pleasant to check out; if you need a location to stay Newport City Motel is a good choice. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Barton River, and if the weather is delightful, you can go for a hike along the Pisgah Trail. The yearly rain here at       Lake Memphremagog is about average; the month with most of the rain is August, and February on the other hand is the driest. Be careful coming to Lake Memphremagog, you might not ever want to return back home again. If you came for an overnight stay Fireside Campground is a wonderful site to camp, and on a pleasant day you can take a hike along the Mount Pisgah East Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Get your pulse rate up on the perfect whitewater of Clyde River;                  the Herbert Hawkes Hiking Trail is a splendid hiking trail nearby. High temperatures at Lake Memphremagog through the days of summer are in the 70's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. Highs during the wintertime are ordinarily in the 20's with temperatures at Lake Memphremagog dipping down into the 0's during winter nights.
