From a precipitation point of view McConnell Pond is a pretty typical place; most of the rain falls during August, and February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing stuff in the Green Mountains. Clyde River is a tremendous whitewater spot close to McConnell Pond, and if you came to       camp Lakeside Camping Area is a perfect place to do that. For the duration of the summertime months at McConnell Pond highs are commonly in the 70's while night lows are usually in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's, and through the dark hours in the winter at McConnell Pond temperatures drop to the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. There is a good hiking trail in close proximity to McConnell Pond called the Main Trail, and you can run the                  rapids of Nulhegan River. The Green Mountains scenery is always beautiful. If you like the outdoors you'll like it here in the Green Mountains. The skiing at Lyndon Outing Club is wonderful, and camping at Big Rock Campground and Store is always a perfect experience. Near McConnell Pond you discover the Red Pine Trail which is a great hiking trail, and while you're here, you could stop by Paul John Brook. The Loggers Loop Trail is a brilliant hiking trail next to McConnell Pond; if you like skiing, you're in luck; Burke Mountain is reasonably near. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this location.
