This lake is one of the great places here in the Green Mountains. While you're here at McAllister Pond, you could also pop by striking Mud Pond; Mill Brook Campground is a good campground nearby. I can't stop, cause I'm havin' a fine time here at McAllister Pond. A quick spree to Burgess Branch       near McAllister Pond is a great idea, and on a beautiful day you obtain a wonderful view of Browns Ledges from McAllister Pond. Barrewood Campground is a brilliant local campground, and Lamoille River - Wild Branch is a fine whitewater spot nearby. Now, you may imagine that's loads but there's even more exciting things to do here in the Green Mountains. Corez Pond is a nearby lake that you could have a look at, and don't leave McAllister Pond without first going                  for a hike along the Bayley Hazen Military Road Trail. This lake is so wonderful. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Jay Peak if you're here, and in case you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Gihon River. Whohoo, so much cool stuff in one place! The Green Mountains rules! Super 8 Motel - Derby/Newport Area is a good site to get some rest. Summer brings highs in the 80's to McAllister Pond, and during the night it cools down to the 50's.
