McAllister Pond is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. McAllister Pond is a beautiful lake in the Green Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Gihon River for all you thrill seekers. There's so much to do here at McAllister Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Mill Brook Campground is a great spot for that. If the weather is great here at McAllister Pond, you can go for a hike along the Bayley Hazen Military Road Trail,

Summertime at McAllister Pond comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. Throughout the winter the highs are mostly in the 20's with temperatures at McAllister Pond dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. McAllister Pond sees pretty high levels of rainfall; August is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest
of the months is February. That right there is plenty of exciting stuff already but it goes on, the Green Mountains has it all. There are some great whitewater spots on Lamoille River - Wild Branch. You'll need more than a day to explore everything McAllister Pond has to offer, you can camp at Barrewood Campground.
