This lake is so wonderful. There is a great hiking trail next to Martins Pond called the Groton State Forest Nature Trail; lakes are such calm places, why not stop by Fosters Pond. Fairbanks Inn is a great spot to get some rest, and a great spot to camp here at Martins Pond is Big Deer Campground. The Green Mountains scenery is always beautiful. This lake is so wonderful.       Mud Pond is a fine lake next to Martins Pond; Lyndon Outing Club is a perfect local ski area. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Martins Pond. If you need a location to stay Comfort Inn & Suites is a great choice, and there are some splendid whitewater spots on Joe's Brook River. So much amusing stuff in the Green Mountains, just remarkable. On a nice day at Martins Pond you can take a hike along the Peacham Bog Trail, and nothing beats kicking                  back at Boulder Beach. The warmest time of the year at Martins Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. Through the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Martins Pond. There's whitewater on Wells River for all you adrenaline rush seekers, and not far from here you can enjoy the trees of Peacham Fire District Forest. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool stuff in the Green Mountains. Martins Pond Dam is worth taking a look at if you're here, and from Martins Pond you acquire a nice sight of Devils Hill. An average amount of rain falls at Martins Pond; August is when you get the most rain here; the driest month of the year is February.
