     The beauty of Mackville Pond attracts many people from all around. This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Winooski River near Mackville Pond, and a great close by hotel is Hollow Inn and Motel. Summertime highs at Mackville Pond typically tend to be in the 80's, and the nighttime is a bit chillier of course, frequently in the 50's. Through the wintertime highs are generally in the 20's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at  
   Mackville Pond drop into the 0's. Just can't get enough of the Green Mountains. If the weather is magnificent here at Mackville Pond, you can go for a hike along the Owls Head Trail, and there are plenty of folks from Barre here.
And if that's not enough there's a heap more entertaining stuff to do in the Green Mountains. If you need a place to stay Barre-Days Inn Barre/Montpelier is a splendid choice, and swamps like Martell Swamp are fun to explore. There's
 
               whitewater on Lamoille River - Wild Branch for all you adrenaline rush seekers; a delightful lake like Mackville Pond is a perfect place to have a look at. Just can't get enough of Mackville Pond. Going for a hike along the Osmore Pond Hiking Loop will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity; Mackville Dam is an out of the ordinary thing to check out.
Take a side tour to Cooper Brook; for you golfers we recommend nearby Woodbury Golf Course. Mackville Pond is a beautiful lake in the Green Mountains. So many cool things to do at Mackville Pond, so little time. You'll hit upon a pretty lake called Hardwick Lake near Mackville Pond.
This lake is so wonderful. Hardwick Union Municipal Forest is a forest close to Mackville Pond that you can go to; Larry and Sons Campground is a pleasant campground nearby. All the water falling down from the sky makes Mackville Pond a wet spot; during August this area sees the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. Hiking along the Kettle Pond Trail is perfect fun, and if you came for an overnight stay Idle Hours Campground is a splendid location to camp.
