Lower Hurricane Reservoir is always a pleasure to visit. This lake is so wonderful. Really fine skiing awaits you at Suicide Six, and the Futures Trail offers hiking at its best. A good nearby hotel is Comfort Suites White River Junction, and if you come at the right time of year, Bloods Brook offers some good whitewater.
