Camping is available at Hapgood Pond - Green       Mountain National Forest, and there's some flowing water nearby, Cold River is a stream you can pop by while here. The Green Mountains scenery is always beautiful. So much entertaining stuff in close proximity to Lower Eddy Pond, definitely tremendous. Golf can be played at Rutland Country Club. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Clarendon River, and a day on the slopes of Killington is just what you need. At Lower Eddy Pond through                  the summertime months highs are in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Lower Eddy Pond. If you need a spot to stay Comfort Inn Trolley Square is a delightful choice, and there are some splendid whitewater spots on Mill River. Lower Eddy Pond is a good place of normal rainfall; August is the wettest month with most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. There's always Eddy Pond Lower Dam to explore near Lower Eddy Pond, and Lower Eddy Pond is not the only place nearby, Piedmont Pond is a nearby lake. Don't leave Lower Eddy Pond without first going for a hike along the Canty Trail, and Ramada Limited Of Rutland is a nice place to get some rest.
