    If you are in Orleans county it's always a good idea to stop by Loves Marsh. A magnificent place to camp here at Loves Marsh is Lake Bomoseen Camp Ground, and Highlander Motel is a delightful site to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Very great water scenery is available at Loves Marsh Dam in the vicinity of Loves Marsh, and Loves Marsh is a site with many visitors from Rutland.
A typical amount of rainfall falls here at Loves Marsh; the month of
 
   August is the wettest with most of the rain; the driest of the months is February. There's great hiking along the Half Moon Pond Trail, and some great nature is available in Castleton Municipal Forest. For the period of the summer at Loves Marsh highs are typically in the 80's with overnight lows in the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime the highs are generally in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Loves Marsh.
So much entertaining
 
               stuff in close proximity to Loves Marsh, clearly tremendous. Sucker Brook flows through this vicinity, and camping is available at Half Moon State Park Campground. Having a great time at Loves Marsh is uncomplicated. Good hiking is available along the Bomoseen Hiking Loop, and some attention-grabbing geology is available here, Wallace Ledge is right here. Why not pop by Cedar Point also since you're here, and the sight of pretty Cedar Mountain is great.
This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by nearby Lake Bomoseen, and since you're here you can play some golf at Prospect Bay Country Club. Dry warm beds await you at Rodeway Inn Rutland. Lakes? Sure, Lake Hortonia is close at hand. The Daniel Coffey Memorial Trial offers hiking at its best, and if you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Poultney River.
