Not far from Loves Marsh you get some perfect water scenery at Loves Marsh Dam, and in the event that you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Poultney River. During the days of summer highs here at Loves Marsh get into the 80's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's. For the period of the winter this place gets highs in the 20's; nighttime lows at Loves Marsh through the wintertime frequently

outdoors exciting stuff just keep reading. Playing golf is lots of fun at Prospect Bay Country Club, and you'll find a delightful lake called Lake Bomoseen. The Bomoseen Hiking Loop is a tremendous hiking trail in the neighborhood
of Loves Marsh; lakes are such serene spots, why not pop by Lily Pond. There's so much to do here at Loves Marsh that you need to camp here for a while, Half Moon State Park Campground is a glorious location for that; there is
a great hiking trail close by called the Half Moon Pond Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Castleton Municipal Forest is a forest close to Loves Marsh that you can go to, and if you need a place to stay Highlander Motel is a glorious
choice. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Rutland Killington Red Roof Inn, and obviously Sucker Brook flows through this area. The amount of rain that falls at Loves Marsh is close to the national average;
August is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is February. Cedar Point is not far from Loves Marsh at all; there are plenty of people from Rutland here at Loves Marsh.

Country Village Campgrounds

It is within 5 miles of Brandon, Fern Lake and Otter Creek, and within 15 miles of Middlebury, Rutland, Lake Dunmore, Salisbury and several other small towns. Brandon is a well-known artist's village that is famous for several galleries shops and restaurants, and home to the well-know artist Warren Kimball. There are also many wonderful events held in the village including weekly farmers markets, and several festivals and parades throughout the year.
Country Village Campground has 41 spacious sites that can accommodate small tents all the way up to the largest of campers. The bath house is clean and spacious with hot showers, and it is located right in the middle of the campground for easy access to all sites. A trip to Country Village Campground wouldn’t be complete without a visit to nearby Branbury State Park; nearby you hit upon the Silver Lake Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail. Very secluded & peaceful with tent sites and one or two shelters. Over night stays are 5.00 per person, per night. If you love 'roughing it' camping, this is a great place to go.
