High temperatures at Lost Pond throughout the long summer days are in the 80's. Summer night lows dip down

to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and after the sun is down throughout the wintertime temperatures at Lost Pond plunge into the 0's. Be careful coming to the Green Mountains, you might not ever wanna return home again. Branch Pond Brook flows through this area, and after a long day outdoors Manchester View Fine Lodging is a glorious site to spend a night or two. If only every location had this much outdoors amusing things, what a great world
it would be. Lost Pond is a spot with many visitors from Bennington, and if you've had enough of Lost Pond, Beebe Pond is nearby.
Lost Pond is a wonderful place to visit for more than one day, Howell's Camping Area is a wonderful place to camp nearby, and if you need a place to stay Arcady At The Sunderland Lodge is a glorious choice. Glide down the rapids of Roaring Branch in a kayak; if the weather is splendid, you can go for a hike along the Branch Pond Trail. That right there is a heap of enjoyable stuff already but it goes on, the Green Mountains has it all. Red Mill Brook Campground is a good local campground, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Snow Valley.
This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Deerfield River - East Branch offers some pleasant whitewater, and why not head up to Stratton and strap some skis to your feet. Lost Pond gets a great deal of water; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain; February is the month with the least moisture.

WOW. don't come here unless you been paddlin for some time. Although a bit easier than CL5 I have done in other states, this still comes at you fast. Not easy to find a place to stay if looking for a room as it was stated here. Wasn't hard to find a place and park for the night though and with a mini van with DVDs, we snuggled up nice, with noone to bother us. Oh yeah, nice and cool at night (although summer) glad we had a lot of blankets and ways to stay warm....

... quickly loosing its natural appearance (not to mention killing the fish and environment) we should stop building around the world, this is one contribution to global warming and obviously the fact that we will eventually outgrow our environment. I suggest rebuilding ontop of old houses if you have the money to build a new house at all otherwise, renovate.I also wish to somehow reduce population which is nearly impossible to do all over the world, china has a good system for that (though a little strict its neccessary you only need two at the most anyway more than that is just rediculous) in building, we need roads, well when it rains the roads and the houses prevent the acidic rain from penetrating and filtering throughout the peat and other minerals in the ground. This filtration helps maintain proper ph (affects fish immensely) and filter sediment out (which hinders the gills of fish)not to mention aids in producing topsoil. so the acid rain is now draining in ditches and along the road into ... sadawga, harriman res., and any other local streams which WILL go to larger bodys of w...
