Camping at White Caps Campground is always a good experience, and you obtain a tremendous view of Goodwin Mountain from here. High temperatures at Long Pond during the warmest time of the year are in the 70's with night lows in the 50's. Through the winter the highs are frequently in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Long Pond. This lake is so wonderful. | | do around Long Pond; South Shore Hiking Trail is a wonderful local trail. A normal amount of rain falls here at Long Pond; most of the rain falls through August; February meanwhile is the driest month. Be careful coming to Long Pond, you might not ever want to go back home again. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Burke Mountain. Lakes? and there are other locations here than Long Pond, for example Kings Pond. If you want a tremendous time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Green Mountains. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Herbert Hawkes Hiking
Trail; why not head up to Lyndon Outing Club and strap some skis to your feet. This lake is so wonderful. There's great hiking along the Mount Pisgah Trail, and Super 8 Motel - Derby/Newport Area is a wonderful location to get some
rest. These mountains rock, just explore all the enjoyable things to do in the Green Mountains. Barton River is a pleasant whitewater spot close to Long Pond, and camping is available at White Caps Campground. Long Pond is located in the Green Mountains.

Lake Memphremagog

It is a lake that talks to you, as far as my opinion goes. I lived in Newport,Newport Center (Bear Mountain) and Noth Troy when I was bewtween the ages of 9-13. I am now 42!
I just recently went back to Newport and that beautiful lake that talked to me, and i think it helped me figure out a part of my life that has been a little bit difficult to understand and move ahead. I Do have somr pictures in some old photo albumd, and I will make an effort to submit, Agian I am Surprised I am the first to comment on this Lake, it is ,as far as I am concerned one of the wonder of NEW ENGLAND!... |
