a day to look at everything Long Pond has to offer, you can camp at Belview Campground, and in case you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Clyde River. This lake is so wonderful. A great close by hotel is Super 8 Motel - Derby/Newport Area, and everybody nearby loves skiing at Lyndon Outing Club.
There's so much to do here at Long Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Will-o-wood Campground is a delightful

place for that; a fine location for whitewater paddling is Barton River. Now, you may imagine that's a load but there's even more cool things to do here in the Green Mountains. Going for a hike on the Herbert Hawkes Hiking Trail is always a good adventure; hey, Gotta ski right? Burke Mountain is a delightful place to do that. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Long Pond without first going for a hike along the Mount Pisgah Trail, and after a long day outdoors Holiday Motel and Annex is a tremendous site to spend a night or two. Whohoo, so much enjoyable stuff in one place! The Green Mountains rocks! You could also check out Mud Pond if you're here at Long Pond; it's nearby, and you can go for a hike on the South Shore Hiking Trail.
