    Why not stop by Little Salem Pond if you're passing through these parts. Lakes? Sure, Lake Salem is nearby. Man, is there loads of enjoyable things to do in the Green Mountains. Near Little Salem Pond you hit upon a golf course called Newport Country Club, and whitewater paddling is great on Clyde River. Summertime highs at Little Salem Pond commonly tend to be in the 70's, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. During the wintertime highs are frequently  
   in the 20's with temperatures at Little Salem Pond dipping down into the 0's all through winter nights.
This place, Little Salem Pond, it just has so much outdoors enjoyable stuff. Burke Mountain is a very popular ski area around here, and if you need a location to stay Super 8 Motel - Derby/Newport Area is a perfect choice. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Char- BO Campground is always a brilliant experience; a day at lovely Balm of Gilead Beach right
 
               next door to Little Salem Pond is a glorious thing to do. You definitely ought to like the Green Mountains. There's great hiking along the Mount Pisgah East Trail; needless to say Coche Brook is a stunning stream that is worth going to.
The Mount Pisgah Trail offers hiking at its best, and Little Salem Pond is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Chargo Campground is a wonderful local campground. This lake is so wonderful. Bates Hill is painless to spot from Little Salem Pond, and get soaked paddling on Barton River. Don't leave Little Salem Pond without first going for a hike along the Pisgah Trail; there are other locations here than Little Salem Pond, for example Lake Derby.
This lake is located in the wonderful Green Mountains. An average amount of rain falls at Little Salem Pond; most of the rain falls throughout August; February is when it's the driest.
