    If you are traveling by, why not stop by Little Pond. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Haystack is in the neighborhood of Little Pond, and if you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Roaring Branch. Throughout the summertime months, highs commonly are in the 80's at Little Pond. Summer night lows plunge down to the 50's. Highs throughout the wintertime are generally in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the  
   0's to Little Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Atwood Trail is always a glorious adventure; a wonderful lake like Lost Pond is a good site to stop at.
There are wonderful places to discover along the Old Stage Trail, and if you're here you will meet lots of people from close by Bennington. There is a pleasant hiking trail right next door to Little Pond called the Molly Stark Trail, and Hagar Hill is a peak you can see from Little
 
               Pond. This lake is so wonderful. You'll stumble on a striking lake called Big Pond near Little Pond, and Red Mill Brook Campground is a magnificent campground nearby.
Mount Snow is a brilliant local ski area. What a place this is for outdoors people. Alexandra B and B is a nice location to get some rest, and Walloomsac River has a nice whitewater paddling spot nearby. Stay the night at Holysmoke Camps, and a wonderful close by hotel is Knights Inn Bennington.
Little Pond gets much water; through August this area sees the most rain; February is when it's the driest.

...ne contribution to global warming and obviously the fact that we will eventually outgrow our environment. I suggest rebuilding ontop of old houses if you have the money to build a new house at all otherwise, renovate.I also wish to somehow reduce population which is nearly impossible to do all over the world, china has a good system for that (though a little strict its neccessary you only need two at the most anyway more than that is just rediculous) in building, we need roads, well when it rains the roads and the houses prevent the acidic rain from penetrating and filtering throughout the peat and other minerals in the ground. This filtration helps maintain proper ph (affects fish immensely) and filter sediment out (which hinders the gills of fish)not to mention aids in producing topsoil. so the acid rain is now draining in ditches and along the road into ... sadawga, harriman res., and any other local streams which WILL go to larger bodys of water affecting the fish in numerous ways. I'm just a local catch and release fisherman who has left home to make a difference at home and aro...
