If you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Clyde River; lakes are such calm places, why not take a look at Turtle Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Char- BO Campground is a great campground nearby, and close by you come across the Mount Pisgah East Trail which is a great hiking trail. Round Pond is a tremendous lake next to Line Pond. Whitewater paddling is good on Nulhegan River, and Line Pond is a glorious site to visit for more than one day, Char-Bo Campground is a glorious site to camp nearby. If the weather is great here at Line Pond, you can go for a hike along the Mount Gore Trail; Super 8 Motel - Derby/Newport Area is a perfect place to get some rest. at Line Pond while nighttime lows are regularly in the 50's. For the duration of the winter the highs are mostly in the 20's while Line Pond nighttime low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 0's.
