     Limehurst Pond is always a pleasure to visit. If you want a splendid time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Green Mountains. The snow is pleasant at Twin Farms, and Lazy Lions Campground is a splendid local campground. Limehurst Pond is one of the lakes here in the Green Mountains. There's just no way somebody can get bored here at Limehurst Pond. The Kettle Pond Trail is a wonderful hiking trail next to Limehurst Pond; folks from Barre love to  
   come here.
Get yourself into a kayak and hit White River - First Branch, and if you came for an overnight stay Limehurst Lake is a splendid place to camp. Limehurst Pond gets a normal amount of rain; August is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. Near Limehurst Pond you discover the Silver Ledge Trail which is a brilliant hiking trail, and dry warm beds await you at Barre-Days Inn Barre/Montpelier.
 
               After a long day outdoors Hollow Inn and Motel is a splendid site to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Clark Hill is painless to spot from Limehurst Pond, and Cutter Pond is a delightful lake nearby. Summer at Limehurst Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 20's; after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Limehurst Pond sink into the 0's.
On a pleasant day at Limehurst Pond you can take a hike along the Bear Hill Trail, and while you're here you can play some golf at Country Club of Barre. These mountains rock, just explore all the amusing stuff to do in the Green Mountains. A lovely lake like Staples Pond close to Limehurst Pond is a wonderful location to visit, and if you come at the right time of year, Winooski River offers some wonderful whitewater.
