If you are in this part of Vermont make sure to pay a visit to Lily Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Blue Gentian Lodge is a pleasant spot to get some rest, and the snow is delightful at Magic Mountain. This lake is so wonderful. The Railroad Bed Trail is a nice hiking trail close to Lily Pond; the peak of Cobble Hill can be seen from Lily Pond. Just can't get enough of Lily Pond. If you come at the right time of year, West River offers some great whitewater;

High temperatures at Lily Pond all through the warm months are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and nighttime lows at Lily Pond all through the winter regularly fall into the 10's. The annual rainfall here at Lily Pond is about average; most of the rain falls through August, and February is the month with the least moisture.

Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always visit nearby Lowell Lake; a day on the slopes of Okemo is just what you need. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors entertaining stuff the Green Mountains has to offer.
If you came for an overnight stay Hideaway Squirrel Hill Camp is a tremendous place to camp; Lowell Lake Dam is an attention-grabbing thing to check out. The Green Mountains scenery is always beautiful.
Having a perfect time in
the Green Mountains is trouble-free. There is a magnificent hiking trail near Lily Pond called the Overlook Trail, and camping is available at Horseshoe Acres Camp Grounds. Float down the rapids of West River in a kayak; on a great day you can take a hike along the Hamilton Falls Trail.
