While you're here at Lamson Pond you will meet lots of folks from close by Barre, and one of the major characteristics of the surroundings of Lamson Pond is Bear Hill. From a rain point of view Lamson Pond is a pretty normal site; August is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful. and if the weather is fine, you can go for a hike along the Barnard Trail. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Lamson Pond, and the night is a bit cooler of course, regularly in the 50's. The wintertime brings
highs down to the 20's with temperatures at Lamson Pond dipping down into the 0's throughout winter nights. And that's not all you can do here in the Green Mountains. A fine place for whitewater paddling close to Lamson Pond is
White River, and North Pond is a fine lake nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Hilltop Inn is a brilliant spot to get some rest, and if you came for an overnight stay Lake Champagne Campground is a great location to camp. Camping is
available at Limehurst Lake; great skiing awaits you at Suicide Six. Going for a hike along the Bear Hill Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and the Clark Brook Trail is a good hiking trail nearby. Lamson
Pond is a beautiful lake in the Green Mountains. Sunset Lake Dam is worth taking a look at while you're here, and a stunning lake like Sunset Lake is a nice location to pop by.
