Lake Paran is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. A forest right next door to Lake Paran is McCullough Woods. There's so much to do here at Lake Paran that you need to camp here for a while, Holysmoke Camps is a great place for that. MT Anthony Country Club is a golf course in the vicinity of Lake Paran, and the top of Bingham Hill is easily spotted from Lake Paran. This lake is so wonderful. Cold Spring Brook is a wonderful location to take a look at; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Walloomsac River. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Best Western New Englander Motor Inn is a wonderful spot to spend a night or two; if you're dropping by from Bennington, you won't be the only one. Hiking along the Bald Mountain Trail is glorious fun; get your heart beating on the wonderful whitewater of Roaring Branch. An average
amount of rainfall falls at Lake Paran; August is the wettest month with most rain while February is ordinarily the driest month. Just can't get enough of Lake Paran. Going for a hike along the West Ridge Trail will let you absorb
the natural beauty of this area.
But wait, there's more to do near Lake Paran. Have a great hiking adventure along the Healing Springs Nature Trail; you can stay the night at Greenwood Lodge And Campsites. High temperatures at
Lake Paran throughout the warm days of summer are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 30's while Lake Paran night low temperatures through the winter are in the 0's.
