Lake Mansfield is a good location of typical rainfall; most of the rain       falls during August while February is frequently the driest month. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Stowe since you're here, and if you've had enough of Lake Mansfield, Goose Pond is close by. You can take a little tour to Lake Mansfield Dam since you're here at Lake Mansfield; Little River is a perfect whitewater spot nearby. If you go for the outdoors, you'll love Lake Mansfield. Camping is available at Brewster River Campground;                  if you came for an overnight stay Gold Brook Campground is a great site to camp. That right there is heaps of cool things already but it goes on, the Green Mountains has it all. Since you're here at Lake Mansfield why not visit Nebraska Notch, and you'll meet a lot of people from Barre here. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting stuff in the Green Mountains. A wonderful site for whitewater paddling near Lake Mansfield is Little River - West Branch, and the panorama of Dewey Mountain is delightful. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is splendid here at Lake Mansfield, you can go for a hike along the Haselton Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Stowe Mountain Lodge. This is no spot for people who don’t like to have fun. What would winter be without some skiing at Bolton Valley, and if you need a spot to stay Stowe Inn at The Mountain and Condominiums is a good choice. An afternoon playing golf at West Bolton Golf Club is always a delight, and going for a hike along the Nose Dive Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. Summertime highs at Lake Mansfield generally tend to be in the 80's with night lows in the 50's.
