A day on the slopes of Smugglers Notch is just what you need; going for a hike on the Kettle Pond Trail is always a delightful       adventure. This lake is one of the great places here in the Green Mountains. After a long day outdoors Commodores Inn is a tremendous place to spend a night or two, and at Lake Elmore you always meet someone from Barre. A good spot for whitewater paddling near Lake Elmore is Lamoille River - Wild Branch; a round of golf at nearby Farm Resort & Golf Course is a fine way to kill some time. This lake is so wonderful. One of the overriding traits of the surroundings of Lake Elmore is Elmore Mountain, and in the event that you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Minister Brook. Lake Elmore gets a large amount of water; the month with most of the rain is August; February is when it's the driest. Elmore Pond Brook is a splendid place to take a look at. Lakes?
