Why not stop by Lake Elmore if you're passing through these parts. Lake Elmore is a wet site that gets a large amount of rain; all through August this area sees the most rain; the driest month is February. Have a perfect hiking adventure along the Hedgehop Hill Loop Trail, and skiing at Smugglers Notch is one of those things you just must do. And if that's not enough there's heaps more amusing stuff to do in the Green Mountains.

| | Lake Elmore is simple, and do take a hike on the Bayley Hazen Military Road Trail. For the period of the warm days of summer at Lake Elmore highs are mostly in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's; nighttime lows throughout the wintertime for Lake Elmore tend to be in the 0's. Lake Elmore is a beautiful lake in the Green Mountains.

and going for a hike along the Kettle Pond Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Lake Elmore you can distinguish Elmore Mountain, and the trees of Morrisville Village Municipal
Forest are a delightful source of shade on hot summer days.
Lake Elmore really is in the middle of a pretty outdoors paradise. You don’t have to go far from Lake Elmore to see the water at Lake Elmore Dam; at Lake Elmore you always
meet someone from Barre. And that's not all there is to do here in the Green Mountains. Commodores Inn is a brilliant spot to get some rest, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Stowe while you're here. After
a long day outdoors Golden Eagle Resort is a good spot to spend a night or two; Mountain View Campground is a nice local campground.
What a place this is for outdoors folks. A perfect place for whitewater paddling in the vicinity
of Lake Elmore is Minister Brook, and why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Farm Resort & Golf Course.
