Beautiful Lake Dunmore has much to offer visitors. The annual rain here at Lake Dunmore is about average; August is when you get the most rain here, and February is when it's the driest. A fine forest right next door to Lake Dunmore is Salisbury Municipal Forest. Lake Dunmore Dam is a site that is right next door to Lake Dunmore, and whitewater paddling is great on Otter Creek. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Lake Dunmore has to offer, you can camp at Lake Dunmore Kampersville. by, Sucker Brook is a stream you can visit during your stay, and in case you don’t mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Middlebury River. The Nature Trail is a fine hiking trail near Lake Dunmore, and dry
warm beds await you at Courtyard By Marriott Middlebury. But wait, there's more to do close to Lake Dunmore. A short visit to Falls of Lana is always worthwhile, and a cool spot to visit is Rattlesnake Point. Bryant Mountain is
clearly visible from Lake Dunmore; close by you hit upon the Falls of Lana Trail which is a glorious hiking trail. Summertime highs at Lake Dunmore frequently tend to be in the 80's while night lows are generally in the 50's. The
wintertime brings highs down to the 20's with temperatures at Lake Dunmore dipping down into the 0's all through winter nights. Just can't get enough of Lake Dunmore. You can never get enough of the great skiing at Sugarbush; people from Rutland love to come here.
