King Ponds in fact is in the middle of a charming outdoors paradise. Woodbury Upper Dam is a location that is in the neighborhood of King Ponds, and golf can be played at Woodbury Golf Course. There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Green Mountains. King Ponds is not the only place close by, Harry Pond is a close by lake; camping at Onion River Campground is always a perfect experience. Through the summertime months here at King Ponds, high temperatures

| | mostly reach the 60's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 10's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to King Ponds. Put some time aside to spend at Blake Falls if you're here at King Ponds; going for a hike on the Kettle Pond Trail is always a nice adventure. King Ponds is located in the Green Mountains. from Barre; you can go for a hike on the Osmore Pond Hiking Loop. You could also pop by Leech Pond if you're here at King Ponds; it's close by, and a wonderful close by hotel is The Inn at Montpelier. This lake is so wonderful. Buck
Lake Brook is one of the streams close by that might be worth taking a look at, and if you need a location to stay Days Inn Barre Montpelier is a nice choice. King Ponds is a wet spot that gets a lot of precipitation; the wettest
month of the year is frequently August, that's the one that rains the most, and February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Lamoille River
- Wild Branch, and there are delightful places to discover along the Owls Head Trail. King Ponds is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Spooners Trailer Park and Campground is a wonderful local campground, and at King Ponds you can see Foster Hill.
