The Green Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Through the long summer days highs here at Johnson Pond get into the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's with temperatures at Johnson Pond dipping down into the 0's throughout winter nights. But wait, there's more enjoyable things to do in the Green Mountains. You're in all probability interested in lakes, Bog       Pond is one of those nearby, and if you came to camp Rustic Haven Campground is a magnificent place to do that. The Bear Den Trail offers hiking at its best, and if you come at the right time of year, Moose River offers some great whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. Holiday Motel and Annex is a fine place to get some rest. There's so much to do here at Johnson Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Breezy Meadows Campground is a great spot for that.                  Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Ammonoosuc River, and you can hit the slopes at Lyndon Outing Club close by. The yearly rain here at Johnson Pond is about average; all through August this area sees the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. A quick visit to Dudley Brook near Johnson Pond is a tremendous idea, and do take a hike on the Main Trail. Don't try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a great time here at Johnson Pond. Johnson Pond is right by the Loggers Loop Trail, and if you've had enough of Johnson Pond, Kirby Pond is nearby. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Green Mountains.
