    Johnson Pond is a lake worth visiting. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Johnson Pond. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's. All through the wintertime the highs are regularly in the 20's while Johnson Pond overnight low temperatures all through the wintertime are in the 0's. Johnson Pond is a site with many visitors from Rutland, and if you need a site to stay Lake Bomoseen Inn is a great choice.
Going for a hike
 
   along the Glen Lake Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and Prospect Bay Country Club is a splendid golf course nearby. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Otter Creek; hiking along the Daniel Coffey Memorial Trial is brilliant fun. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Big D Campground is a pleasant location to camp, and dry warm beds await you at Edgewater Motel.
 
               There's some exciting stuff to catch a glimpse of at Lake Hortonia Dam in the vicinity of Johnson Pond, and Fortier Pond is a pleasant lake nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Camping is available at Half Moon State Park Campground, and Felton Hill is striking and can be distinguished from here. You assume that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. Have a good hiking adventure along the Half Moon Pond Trail, and there's whitewater on Poultney River for all you adrenaline kick people.
From a rainfall point of view Johnson Pond is a reasonably common place; during August this area sees the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
