     Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining stuff in the vicinity of Island Pond. Lakeside Camping Area is a great local campground, and close by you hit upon the Main Trail which is a glorious hiking trail. So much amusing stuff in the Green Mountains, just striking. The slopes of Burke Mountain are so inviting noone can resist, and on a good day you can take a hike along the Shore Trail. You ought to stop at Eagle Point when you're here at Island Pond, and  
   not far from Island Pond you'll come across Spectacle Pond which is a beautiful lake.
Island Pond is located in the Green Mountains. Island Pond is a delightful place to visit for more than one day, Burke Mountain Campgrounds is a delightful place to camp nearby; in the event that you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Nulhegan River. If you need a place to stay Holiday Motel and Annex is a wonderful choice.
 
               This lake is so wonderful. What would winter be without some skiing at Lyndon Outing Club, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have a look at close by Back Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Lightning Brook flows through this area, and Brighton Municipal Forest is a forest that you can go to. And that's not all the things to do here in the Green Mountains. Whitewater paddling is delightful on Clyde River; there is a pleasant hiking trail nearby called the Red Pine Trail.
The warmest time of the year at Island Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's while Island Pond nighttime low temperatures during the winter are in the 0's. Island Pond gets a common amount of annual rainfall; during the month of August you get the most rain around here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.

Is it still there????...Growing up I have had a place on maidstone lake it was my favorit spot at a kid and one day I hope to own another camp up there. I had the best time from water skiing to fishing.
