What a nice lake Island Pond is. This location, the Green Mountains, has so much outdoors fun things. The Shore Trail is a good hiking trail in the neighborhood of Island Pond; the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Lyndon Outing Club. From a precipitation point of view Island Pond is a quite typical place; the wettest month of the year is frequently August, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month is February. | | is one of the lakes here in the Green Mountains. Camping is available at Burke Mountain Campgrounds, and after a long day outdoors Holiday Motel and Annex is a magnificent place to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Nulhegan River. Point. If you love the outdoors you'll love it here in the Green Mountains. A splendid site to camp here at Island Pond is Lakeside Camping Area, and Clyde River has a pleasant whitewater paddling spot close by. All through the
summer at Island Pond highs are ordinarily in the 70's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 50's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 20's while Island Pond night low temperatures all through the winter
are in the 0's. Just can't get enough of Island Pond. Not far from Island Pond you can enjoy the trees of Brighton Municipal Forest, and there's some flowing water close by, Lightning Brook is a stream you can have a look at while
here. This lake is so wonderful. There is a splendid hiking trail in close proximity to Island Pond called the Red Pine Trail, and Burke Mountain is a very popular ski area in the vicinity.
