Not far from Institute Pond, you'll come across Stuart Pond which is a lovely lake, and on a good day you can take a hike along the South Shore Hiking Trail. You believe that's enough? | | ought to love Institute Pond. Moose River is a great whitewater spot in the vicinity of Institute Pond, and if you're here you can take a hike along the Herbert Hawkes Hiking Trail. That right there is plenty of fun stuff already but it goes on, the Green Mountains has it all. fun at Kirby Country Club, and from Institute Pond you acquire a wonderful view of Minister Hill. An average amount of rainfall falls at Institute Pond; most of the rain falls during August while February is ordinarily the driest
month. This lake is so wonderful. Looking for some flowing water? Try Cold Hill Brook, and after a long day outdoors Fairbanks Inn is a good location to spend a night or two. Be careful coming to the Green Mountains, you might not
ever want to go home again. Holiday Motel and Annex is a fine place to get some rest; going for a hike along the Bear Den Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. Institute Pond Dam is a pretty location close
to Institute Pond; camping is available at Moose River Campground. You'll really wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting things in the Green Mountains. During the summertime months here at Institute Pond, high temperatures
ordinarily get into the 70's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 50's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 20's, and after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Institute Pond
drop into the 0's. Why not camp at Moose River Camp Ground if you're here at Institute Pond, and if you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Joe's Brook River.
